Dread, worry, fear, anxiety . . .
Those little voices whisper in the silence and our hearts begin to race. We occupy our hands and minds with busyness and the voices subside, but in the stillness they return, louder than before.
God desires for us to find peace in the stillness. He doesn't want us to run from task to task to keep the voices at bay; that only brings a temporary peace. Instead, God wants us to sit quietly and hear Him say to our raging storm, "Peace, be still."
