In our culture, being first is what's most important.
Listen to the world and you will hear the message: "Greatness consists of how many you lead." Listen to God's voice and you will hear just the opposite: "Greatness consists of how many you serve." They can't both be right.
You can push to the head of the line and receive the world's applause. Or you can give up your place in line and hear God's "well done." (NIV Once-A-Day Walk With Jesus Devotional)
But
many who are the greatest now will be least important then,
and those
who seem least important now will be the greatest then.
Matthew 19:30 NLT
Many blessings,

Learning this more each day. Thanks Lisa
ReplyDeleteWow, I loved these thoughts; thanks!
ReplyDeleteBlessings to you!
Hi Lisa, this is such a big truth. And a scary one. I have never been overly concerned with being first, but serving is also not my favourite thing in the world to do. Always something to work on right?!
ReplyDeleteGod bless my friend
Tracy
Hi. How are you doing? Hope everything is going well. Nice post
ReplyDeleteI was thinking something similar to this the other day when I was driving in bumper to bumper traffic. It can be so hard to live right in a world of so much wrong.
ReplyDeleteWaiting for more from your heart, my Friend.
ReplyDeleteVery inspiring and I love it. May you keep on sharing wonderful thoughts and inspiration.
