The Voice of Truth

My head can be a very noisy place.  At any one time there seems to be a million thoughts running through my brain and voices are calling out for my attention.

One of those voices is so loud.  I don't have any problem hearing what it says.
You're alone . . .
No one cares . . .
You've failed once again . . .
It's hopeless . . .
Your life is a mess . . .
You can't be forgiven this time . . .
God has given up on you . . .

But there's also another voice trying to get my attention.  This voice is much softer, but it has a more positive message:
You're loved . . .
You're forgiven . . .
There is hope . . .
You're never alone . . .
You're worth it . . .
It will all be ok . . .
I'm holding you . . .

One voice speaks loudly, but it's message is division, destruction, and death.  The other voice is softer, but it's message is life, hope, joy, and peace.

“Be still, and know that I am God."  Psalm 46:10

God's words are strong and powerful but He often chooses to speak in the softest voice.  He wants us to be still so that we can clearly hear His heart.

Which voice will you listen to today?

I will choose to listen and believe the voice of truth.

Many blessings,

  2. I will listen to the voice of truth. Sometimes I feel like I need those headphones that drown out all the noise around me :)
