The Promise of Dawn

It's been too long Father.  I used to number your Blessings weekly, but months have gone by without counting.

I've been distracted by things that are no more.  There have been so many changes and I've been more focused on things left behind than the Blessings You have laid out in front of me.  Others have pointed out the sun shining brightly around me, but all I have seen is the darkness.

Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes with the morning.  Psalm 30:5 NLT

So today I focus on the promise of dawn.  You have been pouring out your Love on me and guiding my path.  Instead of giving voice to those things I perceive as negative I will tell of Your Goodness and Mercy.

This week I am especially thankful for:
621.   A job
622.   New education opportunities for my son
623.   Amazing friends opening their hearts and home to me
624.   Medical coverage
625.   Fellowship with believers who continue to challenge me
626.   Spending time with my best friend
627.   Rediscovering passions that have been hidden for a long time
628.   Needs being met through unexpected avenues
629.   Being able to "let go" of my grown children, knowing I have raised them to the best of my ability.
630.   The promise of dawn

What's on your list today?

  1. Wonderful list Lisa... so much to be grateful for, even in the midst. I had Isaiah 43:19 pop in my head as I read your post...

"See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland."

    Love you dearest Lisa :)

  2. I'm Muslim, but things are the same in Islam and Christianity. We believe that whatever befalls you, you should be always thankful to Allah. Thank HIM because you're still alive, healthy, not hungry...

  3. Beautiful list, Lisa. Although, I don't know the trials you are currently facing, I DO know the Savior who is going to carry you through them. Love you, Lisa
