Life Interrupted

"A crowd soon gathered around Jesus, and they saw the man who had been possessed by the legion of demons. He was sitting there fully clothed and perfectly sane, and they were all afraid.  Then those who had seen what happened told the others about the demon-possessed man and the pigs.  And the crowd began pleading with Jesus to go away and leave them alone."  Mark 5:15-17 NLT

Jesus healed a man..... a man possessed by so many demons that they said their name was Legion.  Day and night this man wandered around the cemetery, howling and cutting himself with sharp stones.  People were afraid to go near this area because the man was so violent.

Jesus healed a man.....and the crowds begged Him to go away and leave them alone.  You would think the people would be thanking Jesus for bringing peace, not only to this man, but also to their region, yet they asked Him to leave.  Why?  Because Jesus messed with the familiar.   The people were comfortable with the way things were.

Does Jesus have permission to mess with your comfortable and interrupt your life today?

Many blessings,

  1. Love this post, Lisa. Yes, I want to give the Lord permission to interrupt my plans today. He has a way of taking me on some incredible paths...if I just have the courage to trust Him. Thanks for this.

  2. Ooooh, Lisa, you always ask the hard questions. Good on you
    God bless

  3. Oh how the Lord messed with my life when he put me into a homeless community and said, Love them. I'm so glad He did! :)
