No Searching, Just Surrender

The latest boyfriend

The newest car

A better job

The next great diet, product, or pill

A thinner body,  the latest hairstyle, or most fashionable clothing....

It seems everyone is searching for that one thing that is going to make them happy.  Just spend some time reading through the Facebook statuses of your friends - everybody's looking for something.

Yet when I surveyed all that my hands had done and what I had toiled to achieve, everything was meaningless, a chasing after the wind; nothing was gained under the sun.  Ecclesiastes 2:11 NIV

There is nothing in this world, no matter how new or shiny, that will fill the longing in your heart.  That spot is reserved for God alone.

 Stop searching and just surrender!

Many blessings,

  1. Yes! All other searches will eventually leave us feeling empty and unsatisfied. I want the ONE thing that promises to quench my thirst!!
