God Knows - Do You Know?

Mary, did you know that your Baby Boy
would one day walk on water?
Mary, did you know that your Baby Boy
would save our sons and daughters?
Did you know that your Baby Boy
has come to make you new?
This Child that you delivered will soon deliver you.

Mary Did You Know is one of my favorite songs this time of year, but this morning a different version of this song was on my heart.

One of the things I find most awesome about God is that HE KNOWS.

Sometimes when we call someone, we have to take the time to explain who we are before we can get to the reason why we called.  Not so with God ~ HE KNOWS!

If I'm talking to my husband about someone, I usually have to spend a few minutes explaining who that person is (he may not be good with names, smiles).  I have to give the first and last name, then explain a little about that person.  Not so with God ~ HE KNOWS!

When I go to God in prayer,  I can just say your name, and God knows exactly who I am talking about.  I don't have to know your last name or describe you to God.  HE KNOWS who you are and exactly what you need.  Isn't that amazing!!!

God knows . . . do you know?

Do you know today that Jesus is Lord of all creation?

Do you know today that Christ will one day rule the nations?

Do you know that God sent Jesus to earth as heaven's perfect Lamb?

Do you know that the baby sleeping in the manger was and is the Great I AM?

This week I am thankful . . .
431.  That God allowed me to be a part of someone coming to know Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior!
432.  For God's LOVE - big enough to move the mountains in our life
433.  Being on a first-name basis with my God
434.  Hearing testimonies this morning of God's provision
435.  God-given friends who really pray for me
436.  Being used by God to pray for others
437.  And being given the words to pray through the power of the Holy Spirit
438.  A fun day of shopping with my husband
439.  An afternoon spent baking with my daughter
440.  A two week vacation from school!

What's on your list today?

Many blessings,

  1. That's one of my favorite Christmas songs as well Lisa! It's such a powerful truth when we realize that God knows us COMPLETELY, and through the benefit of the Holy Spirit our petitions to Him are made crystal clear, even when we're "fuzzy" on the details. :-)

    Love your list!

Have a Blessed Day my dear friend!

  3. Wow, God is so good. You know, I clicked publish on a very hard post, and I was looking it over when I saw this new one.

And I am still just crying, knowing that He knows. It doesn't matter what the information is that He knows, HE JUST KNOWS!!!

My heart needed this. Thank you. Oh, and I love that song also!

  5. King size bed - I love that caption to your photo. God does know all about us. Our past our present and our future. May we ever trust Him that he is always with us and IN us.

  8. Our church did a dance to this song many years ago and I was the part of Mary. Love this song. How wonderful that you got to be a part of leading someone to Christ. It's such a great feeling. I am so thankful that He Knows!

  9. I have always had this deep desire to have a sit down chat with Mary. People always ask if you could talk to one person in history who would it be, mine would be Mary. I want to ask her what it was like raising the King of Kings. I really want to know what it was like to potty train the King of Kings! Lol.

    Great list Lisa!

  11. Lisa,

I love that song as well, such powerful words that God knows, He knows everything about me and I had to giggle at Jenifer's comment, I never thought of that, having to potty train the Savior of the world.

    Blessings to you Lisa.
