God Approved?

Am I now trying to win the approval of men, or of God? Or am I trying to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a servant of Christ.  Galatians 1:10

This question has been plaguing me ever since I read it yesterday.  Who's approval am I seeking?  Do I work to be noticed by man, or is my heart's desire to hear God say, "Well done, thy good and faithful servant."

Father, Your Word says that when I am seeking man's approval above Yours that I'm not living as Your obedient servant, so I pray for the courage to seek Your approval above anyone else's.  I want to live boldly for You, bringing You glory with everything I say or do.  In Jesus' name, Amen.

Many blessings,

  2. Oh yes. Perfect thought for today. Makes me think and ask God to show me if I am in any way living for man's approval rather than for Him.

    Thank you for sharing today!
