Remember

Memory is such a strange thing; it seems you either have it or you don't.

My younger brother can remember almost every detail of his childhood, down to the clothes he was wearing on certain days.  On the other hand, I have very few memories of growing up, and I've discovered that some of the memories I do have are false, like walking 7 miles homes from school - never happened.  We grew up in the same household with the same loving parents, but we have very different memories that sometimes I question if we are even related. (smiles)

Whether you have great childhood memories or you would prefer to forget everything up till today, there is one thing we all need to have cemented in our hearts and minds:

God is faithful and He loves us!

I heard this song for the first time on Tuesday and I haven't been able to stop thinking about it since then.  Listen to the words and Remember

Many blessings,

  1. Memory really is a strange thing. I have a perfect memory of the past. Of things long ago. But my short-term memory is terrible. So odd. I like that truth though, no matter what your memories hold, God definitely loves all of us.

  2. it tell ya those younger sybs have totally different memories then the older ones.. I almost feel like the older sybs filter experiences and the youngers get the cleaned up version of childhood.

  3. My memory is terrible...my 80 year old grandma will say "Remember the time we did __________?" Um, no GG, I don't!
My son claims to have been chased around our yard by an alligator (we don't even have alligators around here)...he'll be disappointed to learn this is a false memory!

  5. I don't remember much from my childhood. What is worse is that I can hardly remember some of the things my kids use to do when they were younger. Eeekkk!
