Catch Me

I'm linking up with Lisa-Jo and others at The Gypsy Mama for Five Minute Fridays. Today's prompt is:  Catch

As humans, I think we like to be chased.  Not the scary movie kind of chasing, but the kind that makes us feel loved.

Little kids love to run away from mom and dad knowing that this will begin a game of "catch me if you can."  And because, as parents, we love them so much, we will chase them until they are caught.

Children in grade school play this game by stealing an object from someone and running away, again, hoping that the other person will chase them.  If they chase me, it means they like me.

When people are dating, there is sometimes that game of cat-and-mouse because we want to know if the other person is interested in us enough to chase us.  And chasing each other is what can keep that spark in a marriage.

We need to know that someone loves us enough to pursue us.

God loves you that much. He sent His one and only Son to die for you, and everyday He is calling out to you.

Won't you let Him catch you today?

Many blessings,

  1. I'm so glad God persues me. Great post Lisa!

  9. Sweet thoughts today and I do think we need to pause long enought to actually let Our Heavenly Father catch us. He's there but sometimes we are too busy running around.
Blessings to you and keep on enjoying the journey.
