The Desert

Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the desert to be tempted by the devil.

The Holy Spirit doesn't always lead us beside still waters.

Deuteronomy 8:2 says that God led Israel into the desert to humble them and test their obedience.

We can't prove our obedience if we never have an opportunity to disobey.

We will be tested, so we need to be alert and ready; filled with God's Word.  If the Spirit leads us to it, we can be sure He will help us through it.

Many blessings,

  1. "The Holy Spirit doesn't always lead us beside still waters." What a great reminder. We need to cling to Him in the valleys and on the hilltops!
