Welcome

I'm linking up with The Gypsy Mama today for Five Minute Fridays.  Today's topic is Welcome.

Welcome reminds me of a song, Come Holy Spirit.  We welcome the presence of the Lord into our church service, and hopefully into our lives.

When we invite someone to our homes, we are telling them that they are welcome.  We greet them at the door, invite them in, maybe offer them a glass of water, and give them a place to sit.  I'm not a very good hostess, so I don't do well at entertaining people.  But I will sit down and talk with my guest.  You are welcome to come to my home and be with me.

Do we welcome Jesus into our lives this way?  Have we invited Him to come in and stay a while.  Have you talked to Him lately?   When is the last time Jesus had your attention?

Make today the day you say, Jesus, you are welcome.

Many blessings,

A BIG thank you to Traci Michele at Ordinary Inspirations for my new blog design.!

  3. Lovely post Lisa! and I love the new look of your blog. Like Eileen, I have coffee with Jesus every morning, it hasn't always been that way, only going to Him when I was in trouble, but these days I can't imagine starting my day any other way.

Blessings to you Lisa. Have a great long weekend.

  7. He should be the first person we welcome into our day shouldn't he?! I'm working on that more and more. Good reminder.
