Not Empty

I'm linking up today with The Gypsy Mama for Five Minute Fridays.  Each Friday we are given one word for a prompt.  Then we are encouraged to write for 5 minutes flat with no editing, tweaking or self critiquing.  Today's prompt is:  FULL

I tend to be an all or nothing type of person.  I either have nothing to do or I have everything to do. Yesterday was a full day for me.  I had made my plans and I was going to be busy, but not gone all day.  Just when I thought my plans were accomplished, God made other plans.  And in hindsight, I can see that He had already prepared my heart for His changed of plans.  This next task He set before me delayed my homecoming by 3 hours, but it was well worth it.

I thought I was going to help someone out.  I answered the call for my assistance.  But God . . .   I've come to love those two words.  But God.  He knew that I was the one who needed assistance.  I needed to take a break from my plans and focus on His plans.  And by the end of the day, my heart was full of Him. What a great way to end the day!

Have you bragged on God lately?

Many blessings,

Beholding Glory

  4. I love those words too, "But God." When nothing makes sense, "But God," then suddenly everything makes sense. Love this post! Love you too! We have been out of town this week and I have missed all you ladies!

  7. Wonderful! "But God" the best words in every language! I love his plans for us, when we're interruptable how full our lives can be.

  9. Starting the day full of God is one thing, we all usually do that, but to end it feeling full of God... that is sometimes a challenge! So glad you experienced that :) Happy weekend!
