It's Worth It

I am posting today for Worship Wednesday over at Woman to Woman Ministries.  Please stop by!

When I saw these roses this morning, I thought, "This is what makes winter worth it."

I can handle the cold, dreary, dark, depressing days of winter because I know that it won't last forever.  Spring is coming, bringing something much better.

The same is true in the spiritual realm.  Our life, here on earth, may not be easy.  We don't always understand why things work out the way they do.  But we can be sure that our trials here are going to be worth it.

So we're not giving up. How could we! Even though on the outside it often looks like things are falling apart on us, on the inside, where God is making new life, not a day goes by without his unfolding grace. These hard times are small potatoes compared to the coming good times, the lavish celebration prepared for us. There's far more here than meets the eye. The things we see now are here today, gone tomorrow. But the things we can't see now will last forever.
2 Corinthians 4:16-18

  1. It made me think of the song, "It's Gonna Be Worth It." All the sorrow, pain, everything we go through will be worth it when we get to Heaven.

  7. Lisa,

Great post! I remind myself everyday to stay focused on they things unseen, not the way they appear to be. God definitely spoke through you today, words I definitely needed to hear.

    Blessings to you Lisa.

  8. Great post Lisa,
I held onto 2 Corinthians 4:16-18 when I was grieving the death of my wife. God is truly working in our trials. Let us never give up because every trial will have an end and He causes all things to work for good, to those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.
    Blessings,
    Ken
