Monday Praise

It's Monday - time to praise!

On this Monday morning, I'm thankful for the empty tomb. Easter isn't just a special holiday that we celebrate one day each year.  Jesus is seated in Heaven right now, interceding for you and me. (Rom. 8:34)  The tomb is empty so we don't have to be.  Hallelujah!!!

I'm so thankful for Christian music.  As I was watching the Dove Awards last night, I realized just how many talented artists there are - and all of them use their talents to glorify God.  If you don't already listen to Christian music exclusively, I challenge you to try it for one week.  Even if you think that you don't really listen to the lyrics, those words get into our spirit and feed our souls.

I have an awesome church family and I'm so blessed to be able to worship with them. I'm thankful for the friends God has placed in my life who love me, support me and pray for me.  The Bible says, "As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend." (Prov. 27:17)

Don't let Monday get you down; lift up your praises!  What are your thankful for today?

Rejoice in the Lord always, again I will say, Rejoice!
Philippians 4:4

  1. I am thankful for a beautiful Easter weekend. Christ and His resurrection was our focus, not a bunny or candy. I am thankful for this rainy day. It helps the flowers and plants to grow. I am thankful for salvation. It still amazes me what Christ did for me.

I will turn a dreary, rainy blah Monday into PRAISE!

  4. I am just thankful...for everything He's blessed me with and for all He has done for me. I am thankful that He continues to pursue me even after I've given my life to Him--He won't settle for less than all of me!

  5. Amen Lisa! Christ's Resurrection is something that we need to focus on every day and give thanks for, not just one day a year.

Unfortunately, our cable network didn't get the channel the Dove Awards were on.. I'm hoping to be able to watch it online in the near future.

Thank you for the wonderful reminder, and have a Blessed Day!

  6. My thankful list is on my blog today, but I'll add that I am thankful for being in a blogging community where everyone loves the Lord and is so thankful and praising His name! I just love all the new "sisters" I have met! :)
